Working on the Night Moves
Don’t judge my post title… it is almost 12:30 a.m., I can’t see straight and that is literally what popped into my head when I looked at my photo. 😀
So if you follow me on Instagram, you know that Santa brought me a new lens for Christmas! It is a Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II USM. I finally shot with it tonight. We took a ride down to Atlantic Highlands just after the sun set. It was ridiculously windy and the wind was coming off of the water and I didn’t have on a hat or gloves so I made it quick. Only took a few shots vowing to go back this week, properly cloaked.
I took this shot handheld (no tripod) and I am VERY pleased with this lens thus far. Normally, I have to use a tripod and a cable release and my 70-300 isn’t as fast. You can see the Freedom Tower on the left and the Empire State Building lit up in red and green. It was hard to see them with the naked eye.
I can’t wait to shoot some more with it this week although I might have to hire a trainer to build up my hand and arm muscles to hold onto this beast!! Thank you ‘Santa’ for investing in my business! 😀
